Marco Moreggia

Usually resides in Rome and is a constant point of reference for Italian nightlife. Since the mid-80s, with his group “I RAGAZZI TERRIBILIi”, he has created a bridge between New York and Rome, marking a decade of House music events, involving artists who were performing for the first time in ITALY and exclusively for their evenings (ADEVA, TEN CITY, CE CE ROGERS just to name a few). I Ragazzi Terribili mark a radical change in the way of experiencing the night until then linked to discos, pushing in other directions, in search of alternative spaces, garages, disused factories, far from the classic clichés, the spaces become containers, which place sound comes first, where people feel free to express themselves. Also in those years he was the DJ. of the KEITH HARING event in Rome, in collaboration with the POP SHOP of New York, in the former Miralanza factory. Soon after he is the organizer of the party that kicks off LINDSAY KEMP’s world tour. With the I RAGAZZI TERRIBILI, his evenings make some of the spaces they manage memorable, such as the SALA PICHETTI, THE CAFFE’ MAGNANI, THE ACID OPERA, the DREAM (the first venue entirely designed by them and the first venue to close after 10 in the morning in 1988 ), the PROMETEO and the COLISEUM. In those years, he began his career at a very young age producer activity and forms the THREE-BÙ group and the MYSTIC REC label. his first releases received excellent criticism and recognition and he was later awarded at the Pacha in Riccione by Luca de Gennaro as best group of Italian electronic music. In 1991 he was a resident DJ of MUCCASSASSINA completely free of charge as a volunteer to provide support to AIDS sufferers, he was a guest in the MALE PRODUCTION evenings, he took part in numerous dance gatherings in ITALY, at the HIPE in Caserta, at METROPOLIS and KGB of Naples, makes a tour in various social centers and is the first DJ to play electronic music until then (FORTE PRENESINO, VILLAGGIO GLOBALE, LIVELLO 57, etc.) is the DJ (volunteer) with the cultural association ART FOR AIDS He is a resident DJ on CLUB 69 evenings.

He flies to New York to record his second vinyl with the BASSLINE invited by VICTOR SIMONELLI. Since the mid-nineties, in addition to his role as DJ, he has organized the RADIO PARADISE GARAGE events together with ROMINA ROMANO, the art curator FRANCESCA PIETRACCI and the director Carola SPADONI, events which take place on Sundays from 6pm until 2am :00, first at BAR DEL FICO and then at CAFFE’ DELL’ANGELO (ROME), kicking off the first after tea, visual art, cinema and music, numerous artists are taking part, the video intervention by RADIO B92 (from Belgrade) and the performance of the WOMEN IN BLACK (during the war in Kosovo). In ’99 he was invited by the artists ANDREA NURCIS and ENRICO CORTE to the VENICE BIENNIALE to present his first and only work as an artist: the video “TRASFORMAZIONIi”, with which he was subsequently present in BERLIN. He later starred in the FRANCO SILVESTRO video: “DANCE”. MARCO creates the HEART ATTAK evening together with the 2RC and IL PONTE CONTEMPORANEA galleries. He is the DJ in the RIPARTE events. From 2001 to 2006 he was a DJ. resident of the SUPPERCLUB ITALIA-AMSTERDAM and is a guest in various clubs; including the MAVU’ of Locorotondo, he holds evenings in ENGLAND and GREECE, he inaugurates the ES HOTEL in Rome. He plays in the events organized by WHERE2GO PRODUCTION, he is the DJ of the events organized by BARTOLO CUOMO at the SANTA LUCIA café in Rome events featuring, among others, FRANCA VALERI, PIERA DEGLI ESPOSTI, ACHILLE BONITO OLIVA.

MARCO MOREGGIA has been curating the music for fashion events for years together with SERGIO COLANTUONI in Milan, Rome and Florence. (TER ET BANTINE, MILA SCHON, BRACCIALINI, BRIONI, BRUNO MAGLI, STEFANEL, BORSALINO). In 2000 MARCO was a guest at QUBE in Milan and organized the YELLOW PRODUCTION evening at PARADISO in RIMINI with guests DJ YELLOW, DJ GREGORY and SALOME’ DE BAHIA. Until 2002 he played records in various clubs, created the PORN-ART evening: at the historic BARCONE on the Tiber river in Rome where ILONA STALLER (CICCIOLINA) and EVA HENGER performed on 2 evenings. In July 2004 he was the d.j. of the event “SPORT IS IN FASHION”, organized by ALTAROMA and VOGUE ITALIA at the STADIO DEI MARMI in ROME and on that occasion he created the “ALTAROMA MIX” commercial with STEFANIA DIPIERRO, for the presentation to the press of the new OLYMPIC UNIFORMS ( ATHENS) Also in 2004, he was the DJ at the party for the MTV MUSIC AWARD of BMG and SONY, among the guests, DURAN DURAN, MACY GRAY, USHER, NAOMI CAMPBELL. He is the DJ at the Supper Club for RICHARD BRANSON’s birthday, he is the DJ at the party for the premiere of the film WEDDINGS AND PREJUDICES at the GOA club in Rome. The sounds that accompany the presentation of the MASCOT are his of the TURIN WINTER OLYMPICS, inside the ALA MAZZONIANA (TERMINI STATION, ROME). We listen to his music on headphones while we walk through the spaces set up by SERGIO COLANTUONI for the “DENIM AND DIAMOND” exhibition at the AUDITORIUM PARCO DELLA MUSICA in Rome, within the HIGH FASHION week with DIESEL, the ROLLINGSTONE magazine, GATTINONI and many others…. For years he has supported his DJ activity. to that of arranger and producer for various labels: Mystic Records, Irma Record, Bassline, United… Among his works the CD SUPPERCLUB VI, he then created a CD for the OPEN SPACE CULTURAL ASSOCIATION and with the SUPPERCLUB (SUPPERCLUB LIMITED EDITION). Inside there are five unreleased songs, produced and composed by MARCO, with the singers H.E.R., STEFANIA DIPIERRO, NIA JOHNSON, WENDY LEWIS.

In June 2005 he created for “ROOMS” by PITTI IMMAGINE, the sound path inside the gardens set up by SERGIO COLANTUONI in PALAZZO CORSINI (Florence). In the DANCING PARTY organized by ALTAROMA E VOGUE ITALIA at VILLA GIULIA, Rome, in July; MARCO, in addition to his role as DJ, takes care of the music that accompanies the performers during their performances. He organizes a closed-door party for ELEMENTS OF LIFE at the SupperClub and plays the records for one hundred exclusive guests together with LITTLE LOUIE VEGA. Also memorable at the Supperclub are his musical improvisations on the voice of LUCIO DALLA. In September 2005, he created for PITTI FRAGRANZE, the sound path that accompanies the walk through the stables, lemon groves and gardens, set up by SERGIO COLANTUONI at Palazzo Corsini in Florence. Also in September he created the soundtrack for the BRIONI women’s S/S presentation in Milan. In 2006 MARCO created two soundtracks, one for MTV, 2 other songs were chosen for the SUICIDE GIRLS film (THE ITALIAN VILLA), he participated in CD nr 10 of the SUPPERCLUB, he created a musical selection for the KLM airline. In January 2006 he created the sound path that accompanies visitors in the new edition of ROOMS for PITTI IMMAGINE inside the British Council library in Florence; he created the music that accompanies the presentation of the BRIONI men’s collection in Milan. He is the DJ of the opening party of the HIGH FASHION week at the ETOILE space in Rome and follows all the performers. In June 2006 he created the sound path for the new edition of PITTI ROOMS at Palazzo Corsini in Florence and in the same month he created the music for the presentation of BRIONIi in Milan. In September 2006 MARCO was called by SERGIO COLANTUONI for TIMBERLAND, he created the sound installation at the TRIENNALE space in MILAN.

2007 is the birth of PARADISE LOVERS every Saturday at the DUNE club in Rome. In January he created the CD with retro 1940s/50s atmospheres for PITTI IMMAGINE which accompanies visitors for the entire duration of ROOMS5, in March he created the sounds for the new edition of TASTE at the LEOPOLDA STATION in Florence. In July they were his the sounds for ROOMS 6 of PITTI IMMAGINE and at the same time creates the sound path for the new edition of FRAGRANZE in Florence. In 2008 he was a guest at the DOCSHOW in Bologna, he provided soundtracks for ROOMS 7 for PITTIMMAGINE, and since 2007 he has been president and artistic director of the NODRYDANCE cultural association in Puglia with which he develops music festivals and art exhibitions in the Itria Valley. In June 2007 he created the sounds for ROOMS 8 of PITTI IMMAGINE in FLORENCE. From 2007 to 2012 he took care of the music for the MALìPARMI fashion shows and presentations in Padova and Milan. In 2010 he was among the artists in the Notte Bianca in Lecce, subsequently the partnership was born with the trumpeter FABRIZIO BOSSO, the bassist SATURNINO, the accordionist and pianist ANTONELLO SALIS and the cellist ENRICO MELOZZI with whom he performed in various clubs, their performance at theTeatro Valle was memorable, within the COLPO CODA FESTIVAL. From these performances was born the desire to create a record that he will sign together with FABRIZIO BOSSO for the legendary VERVE label (distributed by Universal Music) which sees the participation of numerous international guests including PETRA MAGONI, SAINKHO NAMTCHILAK…. Also in these years the project DIREZIONE ALTERITA was born of which he was the artistic director together with the critic and art historian FRANCESCA PIETRACCI, visual art, music, installations, literature, this project was presented in some important theaters (Teatro India, Teatro Quirino , Eliseo Theatre). in 2012/2013 he was the artistic director of GoAfterTea (music- performance-food-market) at the Goa Club in Rome.

In 2013/2014 he is Resident DJ of the Radisson Blu ES. Hotel in Rome and is a regular guest at Rising Love in Rome and at Arenile Reload in Naples, at Brancaleone and Room 26 and in numerous other clubs including the IRIS BEACH CLUB in BEIRUT, is among the guests of IPM festival, in the CARNIVAL evenings and in the events at BORGO EGNAZIA BEACH CLUB in Puglia. For the AFTER PARTY of the Altaroma week, he is a regular guest at the events organized by Studio d’ Arte Lamorgese at the private Trullo (Gallipoli) in the RI _USO events in Lecce he is the DJ for the evening of the film LA GRANDE BEELLEZZA for celebrate the OSCAR victory…… 2015 begins with many collaborations, he is a resident in the FIRST evening at the Stadlin and in private lofts, he is a guest in the Slapp evening at Lanificio 159 (Rome), in the Old School evening at Hulala, in Secret Room parties….. From 2016 to 2019 he works in numerous clubs, he is a resident at the Stadlin, at The Magick bar, at Les Marionnettes, at the Hotel Butterfly, he is the artistic director of the first edition of the Festival Direzione Alteritá in Cisternino in Valle d’Itria, he works for charity of the music of the A-Head events in Rome and London, he is a guest at the roof top of the St. Regis in Doha, Qatar, he creates an EP for Mystic rec., he organizes the I Ragazzi Terribili evenings at the Teatro lo Spazio and at the Goa Club, he was invited by the Italian Embassy in Delhi and later by the German Embassy for an important award, he was a guest in the Buttons at About Blank evening and club OS in Berlin. During the pandemic he participated in the docu- films Roma Caput Disco and From my house in da House He is currently working on his new album which will see the birth of his label “Three-bú records”…
